Level-wise academic and teacher-training qualifications as per NCTE (e.g. Class 1–5: Senior Secondary with 50% + D.El.Ed/B.El.Ed, or Graduate + D.El.Ed; Class 6–8: Graduate + D.El.Ed or Graduate/PG + B.Ed; Class 11–12: subject PG + B.Ed). Teacher eligibility test: CTET/BTET Paper-I (Class 1–5), CTET/BTET Paper-II (Class 6–8), STET Paper-I (Class 9–10), STET Paper-II (Class 11–12). Maximum reckoned as on 01.08.2024: UR male 37; BC/EBC (male and female) 40; UR female 40; SC/ST (male and female) 42; transgender 42. PwD +10 years, ex-servicemen per rules, Bihar government servants +5 years; age is relaxed for panchayat/urban-body teachers
