- Qualification
- Deputy Sports Officer and Assistant Coach: graduate from a recognised university, plus a diploma in coaching in the relevant sport from NIS Patiala/Bengaluru/Kolkata, LNIPE Thiruvananthapuram/Gwalior or an equivalent Government-recognised institute, plus 2 years' coaching experience. Lifeguard: High School (10th) from UP Board or equivalent, plus at least 3 years' practical experience as a lifeguard. Groundsman: High School (10th) or equivalent, plus practical experience of preparing and marking outdoor/indoor grounds and courts, and knowledge of grasses, plant cuttings and seeds. Preference (all posts): 2 years' Territorial Army service or NCC 'B' certificate. DSO/coaches also get preference for 1 year's experience organising sports competitions or a diploma/certificate in physical education; Groundsman for 2 years' experience as a groundsman.

Post-wise: Deputy Sports Officer 44 + 6 special selection; Assistant Coach – Swimming 24 + 1 special selection, Hockey 2, and 1 each in Cricket, Football, Shooting, Weightlifting, Fencing, Wrestling, Table Tennis, Handball, Wushu and Lawn Tennis; Lifeguard 15 + 3 special selection; Groundsman 2 + 1 special selection

- ₹25 online processing fee (all categories); mains exam fee payable separately by shortlisted candidates
- Age limit
- Reckoned on 1 July 2026. Deputy Sports Officer and Assistant Coach: 21–40 years. Lifeguard and Groundsman: 18–40 years. Upper age limit relaxed for SC/ST and other categories notified by the UP Government; for DSO and Assistant Coach, candidates already in government service get relaxation equal to their service.
