- As on 01.07.2026: minimum 18 years (21 for Village Administrative Officer, Forest Watcher and Forest Guard; 25 for Executive Officer Gr-IV). Maximum for 'Others' (general) category: must not have completed 30 (35 for Executive Officer Gr-IV); higher limits for SC/ST/MBC/BC and concessions for PwBD, ex-servicemen and destitute widows (para 4.1)
